Ok, so tonight I am reporting from the Interstate on the way to South Padre Island. Kourtney and I have never been there before. We are with Chad, the guy I have been dating and really like. We are going to his aunt and uncle's house that live on the pier. Chad says you can see nothing but water from her kitchen window.
So, meanwhile, I am finishing up my first year teaching and looking for a new job. I just started with Primerica as an Independent Consultant and I am really excited. I'm hoping this will really take off for me.
On another note, I have actually been scrapping. I have finished one lo this week and started another one. This is the first lo I've done in over a year now I guess. I took a pic of it but I need to get it uploaded.
Well, I've been on this thing for a while now so I'm going to call it a night and watch the scenery until we get there!!
HUGS and HAPPY SCRAPPING!!

"Crazy" over Crazy Water
If you have not had the chance to hear Texas's very own Stan Crawford, you are MISSING OUT!! His music really makes you turn the radio up, tap your toe and pet your dog!! His first cd, "Crazy Water," just came out and it is my new FAVORITE!! http://www.stancrawford.com/ If you are in Texas or traveling through the Texas area, check out Stan's web page and see where he's playing next!!

I can't believe
how long it's been since my last post!!! So much has happened. I've moved, started my first year teaching, done very little scrapping, joined a new church, found "me" again, and Kourtney and I are having a BLAST right now!! :)
I need to get back to scrapping. I went and bought a few new things at our local scrapbook store so hopefully that will kickstart my mojo. I need to get back to seeing all my online friends! I MISS YOU GUYS!!! :)
I have been really busy this year working with my classroom. I don't feel like I'm doing all that great but I've been getting a lot of really good feedback and positive comments so I guess we're on the ball. I can't believe I asked for books to study behavior and children with autism and I'm so excited to start reading them to help the students in my class.
So, in closing, I'll say hi again and that I am around but I'm swamped. I only have one kid and she's only four but I already feel like a soccer mom. I guess my next investment needs to be that mini van!! :)

Another busy week!
Ok, I'm so excited about this b/c I don't normally do many mini albums but I am starting to get addicted. This was suppose to be an acrylic album but I couldn't figure out what all the little smudges around the scallops were and come to find out, it was the rest of the protective layering I really couldn't see until I got my fingernail down in there so even though I went a different way than I would have with a normal acrylic album, I still LOVE it...if I can keep it out of my mom's hands!! Love ya Mom!! :)
It has been C-R-A-Z-Y!!! First of all, I've applied to like 15 different schools to teach next year and I've still got a few more! I'm gonna go wherever they pick me up first!! I can't wait...seriously, I CAN'T WAIT!! :)
Next, Mike moved back home. I'm glad we're still friends and hopefully he finds what he's looking for. I wish him luck with a good transition back in Abilene, a good job and hopefully we can maintain a great friendship for our daughter we both love.
Well, since I last posted, I've had knee surgery. I'm up and walking and getting most everything done but I'm not very limber and get sore pretty often so I just need to take it easier than I have been but who am I kidding...THAT'S NOT HAPPENING!!! :) On a good note, I think my leg was worth millions after the surgery b/c my surgeon wrote his initials on my knee he was doing surgery on and he is the surgeon for the Dallas Cowboys football team and then his nurse wrote an "X" on my leg right above the initials and he is Greg Ostertagg's (sp), a retired NBA player for the Utah Jazz. My mom got pics for me so I can't wait to scrap my leg with writing and an ace bandage on it! ROFL!! :)

One busy week!!
I don't know how many times I have met myself coming and going this week!! It seems like I've got to get everything done right now!
For starters, Mike and I split up for good this time. It was a long time coming. He's going to come back down to San Antonio on Monday from a weekend at his parents and help me clean up the apartment a bit and so I'm cleaning and straightening today.
Kourtney just got back from a week at Music Camp (VBS) at the Methodist Church in Eastland with her Mimi. I think she had a lot of fun and made a lot of crafts and got to do a lot of swimming and I got to see her on stage singing "I'm in the Lord's Army!!" She was so cute. I had to go up there with her before she would do it but at least she didn't make me hold her this time!! :) We take one step at a time at performing! LOL!
I've got so much work to do for school right now. I've got lots of apps to fill out and get my fingerprints done and register at a couple of websites. I just cannot wait until I get a job and we can move. I've had one interview in Weatherford and although I supposedly had a great interview, they hired a lady with several years experience. Oh well...hopefully I'll find something soon so I can get situated and prepared before school starts again.
Lastly, I was honored this month to be Guest Design Team Member over at Scrapbook Heaven. I'm loving kit #2 we worked with! It was a little challenging for me with some of the pp's but I loved how much ribbon came with this kit.
The first lo called "Loving You Makes Me Strong" is for a DT contest over at Create My Keepsake. I love the lo I did and hopefully I can make it to the top 20...keep your fingers crossed for me!! :)

One more time
Ok, I've got one more certification test tomorrow for Special Education. I don't know why I'm not more worried about it than I am but I feel like I'm somewhat prepared after my EC-4 test. I need to go over the different disorders and laws and then I'll be done!! Hopefully I'll get a passing score on this one too!!!!!
Happy Sunday to everyone!! :)
